Writing this on December 2, 2024. Took me a while, but eventually I realized that paying with my own $ for a hosting service I could not manage for a project website that has not been really active as intended…well, it was just inertia. So I am in the middle of trying to figure out a new website that would reflect me better, including some of the science and science education content in the previous one, plus other things like personal hobbies, interests, musings etc.

The picture chosen is a favorite of mine, from a 2023 to Valencia, Spain. I often refer to Spain as the “madre patria” as my father’s side is from Spain. Valencia was one of my favorites cities to visit and their flooding felt more visceral as I knew the places that were being described and I had friends affected by it. But the reason I chose the picture is because it reflects me- doing silly stuff that I find enjoyable. One of the greatest joys of older age is that I care very little about what others think of me.

So when I say “new everything” I refer to new website with a new focus, nad some cool new projects I have in mind, and “back to the past” reflects going back to my roots of my old blogging and reflections.

One things I intend NOT to do is have AI writing blog postings etc. While I use AI to improve my writing, I recoil of the idea of creating writing through it. Ugh. It would not be me for sure.
